The table, a 5 x 10 model cherished in my family since it was acquired by my father in 1957, was in dire need of refurbishing. I owned an Atlantic Buffalo, a table made by Atlantic Billiards, based in Brooklyn, in 1920. Blatt Billiards, which has been doing business in Manhattan since the 1920s, has in its collection some 3,000 antique tables.
